Sako L691 Action - It currently takes its ammo with a oal of 83. 62mm or 3. 292. So what is a reccomended long. First year rifles, one is a 3 digit, the other a low 4 digit. Both are 264 win mag with 26 barrels. They only made the 26 barrel the first year. These are hard to find in this. Its a magnum research. 270 win, sako l691 action, krieger barrel, trued, lapped lugs, pillar/glass bedded mcmillan, and a super sweet trigger (not sure if its aftermarket or not). The 91 series (s491, m591, & l691) was only made from 1992 to 1996 & was the model between the old l & a series rifles & the model 75. It differed from the previous models. I'm looking at picking up one in a 270win that is mint but not sure how they rate out of all the sako actions. Should i wait for a different model? However, rarity, caliber, and certain specific models across the various years may be exceptions to the general rule. The first models introduced without the recoil lug machined. My mri l691 actions had a round collar that protruded down around the front action screw. Sako/mri shipped a separate recoil lug that engaged the round protrusion on.
